Piedmont Healthcare will partner with Newton Medical Center, a 97-bed progressive medical facility in Covington, Ga., the health system announced May 21.
The boards of directors for both Piedmont and newton have approved detailed terms for the partnership. After the deal closes, Newton will be a subsidiary of Piedmont Healthcare.
