
A paralegal accused of stealing almost $600,000 from an Augusta law firm and its clients has pleaded guilty.
Richard Owen, who represented himself in a two-day trial that ended Tuesday, faced 253 counts of bank fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering, reports The Augusta Chronicle.
Part of Owen's duties at the Vic Hawk Law Group was ensuring clients' medical bills were paid, the paper said.
