Georgia energy regulators approve latest spending on Plant Vogtle

The Georgia Public Service Commission signed off Thursday on the latest spending by Georgia Power Co. on the planned nuclear expansion at Plant Vogtle. Following the recommendations of two independent construction monitors keeping an eye on the $14.5 billion project, commissioners voted 5-0 to approve $198 million the Atlanta-based utility reported spending during the first six months of last year.
