
The fate of a controversial homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta could be decided later this year.
The Supreme Court of Georgia on June 2 heard arguments in nine appeals that relate to the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless Inc., which operates the homeless shelter at Peachtree and Pine streets.
The case has been tied up in litigation for nearly five years. One of the main issues relates to the ownership of the shelter and whether or not the Task Force should be evicted from the building.
